Welcome to CARE (Comprehensive Animal Rehabilitation and Exercise). By booking and attending a session or engaging with our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read these carefully to ensure a clear understanding of our practices and your responsibilities as a client.

1. General Terms

As a Veterinary Physiotherapist registered with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC), CARE provides professional veterinary physiotherapy services for animals, specializing in post-operative rehabilitation, injury recovery, chronic maintenance programs, puppy conditioning, and sport-specific conditioning.
Our services are intended to support your pet's health and well-being but are not a substitute for veterinary medical care.
CARE operates from its main practice in Plettenberg Bay, with mobile services available in select areas for an additional travel fee.

2. Appointments and Scheduling

  • Appointment reminders will be sent 48 hours in advance via your preferred communication method.

  • Clients are required to arrive at least 5 minutes before the scheduled appointment time.

  • General Changes: At CARE, we reserve the right to not always use the full allotted time for a session. It is not always necessary to continue treatment for the entire duration, and sometimes it could even be detrimental to the pet’s well-being to do so. Treatment will be provided for as long as we deem optimal for the animal's health.

  • Missed appointments or cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment will incur a cancellation fee, as it is too short notice to accommodate another client in that time slot.

3. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due at the end of each session. Accepted payment methods for single sessions include card, cash, EFT, or SnapScan.

  • For mobile services, an additional travel fee will apply, based on the location.

  • Packages and subscription plans must be paid in full before services commence.

4. Cancellation Policy

  • 24-Hour Cancellation Agreement: If you cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, you will still be liable for the cost of the session. This is because it is too short a notice to fill that time slot with another client.

  • Cancellations and rescheduling requests should be made promptly to avoid incurring additional charges.

5. Subscription Terms

  • Subscriptions will be billed via debit order on the 1st of every month. If you sign up after the 1st of the month, you will be charged on a pro-rata basis for the days remaining until the 1st of the next month, aligning the billing cycle uniformly for all clients.

  • The minimum commitment period for subscription plans is 3 months. After this period, clients may cancel their subscription with a full calendar month notice.

  • Launch Discount Prices: Any discounted rates offered during the launch phase of CARE services are valid for the first year only. After this period, subscription plans will default to the standard rate for the package selected. All packages are billed monthly.

6. Client and Owner Responsibilities

  • Owners must provide accurate and up-to-date information about their pet’s medical history, including recent veterinary visits, surgeries, or any pre-existing conditions.

  • Owners are encouraged to be present during the initial assessment and treatments to facilitate communication and ensure a positive experience for their pet.

  • Owners must follow any home care recommendations and exercise plans provided by CARE to optimize treatment outcomes.

7. Treatment and Scope of Services

  • CARE offers a range of physiotherapy treatments tailored to the needs of each animal, which may include laser therapy, massage, exercise programs, and other modalities.

  • CARE reserves the right to refer cases back to a primary veterinarian or specialist if deemed necessary for the pet’s health and safety.

  • Results and progress may vary based on the pet’s condition, compliance with treatment plans, and individual circumstances.

8. Confidentiality and Privacy

CARE is committed to protecting your personal information in compliance with relevant privacy laws. For details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
Any reports or communication sent to your veterinarian will be shared with your consent as part of our collaborative approach to care.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • CARE and its representatives will not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from the misuse of recommendations or failure to follow prescribed treatment plans.

  • CARE will not be responsible for any adverse reactions or complications arising from undisclosed medical conditions or treatments provided outside our practice.

  • While we strive to provide the best care, the outcome of treatments may vary, and CARE cannot guarantee specific results.

10. Updates and Changes

CARE reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes in advance.
Continued use of CARE’s services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
